The Dueling Taco Trucks Of Apex NC

If you’ve ever driven down E. Williams Street in Apex NC, between Route 1 and Salem Street, you may have noticed a perpetual abundance of taco trucks. There are four trucks within a quarter mile, meaning you can visit all the trucks in a five minute walk. Curious as to why they are so close together and what makes them special, we tried tacos from all four trucks and here is what we found.

If you have a favorite taco truck or Mexican restaurant, leave us a comment below.

Here are all the taco trucks we tried and where they are located.

Taqueria Tequila Jalisco

The service was great and they were very friendly. Each taco was about $2, which is a good deal. Some taco trucks can break the bank, but not this one. Steak tacos are always a risk, but these were tender, juicy, and our personal favorite.

Splurge item: Empanadas
They were some of the best we’ve had, crispy and fluffy and full of yummy filling.

Taqueria Las Delicias

This truck always seems to have a line of people and we can see why. The taco meats were all juicy and delicious and the garnishes were fresh. Don’t be fooled by their simple look, these tacos have some great flavor. The green sauce was one of our favorites. It had a good kick and the flavor was excellent!

Splurge item: Burrito
The price is right and it is one stuffed tortilla. We were so full. No regrets!

Tacos Y Tortas El Jarocho

Just like the others, the service was friendly and the food came out quick. This truck had the best presentation and the toppings and garnishes were fresh and crispy. The tacos were also decently priced. The salsa that came on the side was 🔥Hot🔥 . If you like a spicy kick, you’ll love this!

Splurge item: Quesadilla
It was SO cheesy and came with rice and beans.

Paco’s Tacos & Catering

The service was fast and the tacos were $2 to $2.50. The meat was tender and flavorful and well seasoned. The chicken taco and chorizo taco were our favorites. My favorite part was the green sauce. It was creamy avocado and I only wish that I had way more.

Splurge item: More Tacos
Seriously, those are some good tacos. I want some more!

Overall Results

We would go back to all four trucks again and for different reasons. Each of us had a different favorite truck and favorite items that we would get again. All of the trucks had four things in common, good prices, authentic cuisine (I assume, since we were the only ones not ordering in Spanish) with tons of meat choices, friendly staff, and speedy results. We are so full and we have no regrets!
